Welcome to the Crazy Ladies committee room.
During the month, the committee chairpersons gather here to give their committees their assignments for the next month and give Queen Fruitcake a report on what their committees have done the previous month.
Committees are the backbone of CLS and each member must serve on at least one committee. Some committees only require an hour of your time a month; some committees require an hour of your time a day. Serving on a committee counts as participation in the group.
Here is a list of the committees and their duties. When you fill out a membership application, you will be asked which committee you wish to be a part of. So, write down the committee so you have the information. If you would like to chair or co-chair one of the committees, please let Queen Fruitcake know.
Membership Committee: This committee reviews all membership applications; visits the potential member's website to ensure it meets the guidelines; accepts new members; records membership participation; updates the membership roster.
Events Committee: This is the most important committee in CLS. This committee plans at least one event a month and sets up all CLS events. They gather event suggestions from the members. This committee requires a lot of time and graphic/html abilities.
Graphics Committee: This committee creates the event awards and participation logos; any graphics that the Events Committee may need; and creates the websets for the celebration pages, if needed by the Celebration Committee. From time to time they will be asked to create other graphics that are needed. This committee requires graphics ability and some months may require more time than others.
Celebration Committee: This committee creates the birthday celebration pages each month; gathers gifts from all members and places them on the pages. This committee requires graphics/html abilities. Some months may require more time than others.
Echat Committee: This committee monitors echat; adds and deletes members; and reports to Queen Fruitcake on any violations.
Welcoming Committee: This committee announces to all members when a new member has joined CLS and gathers all members to welcome all new members.
Recruiting Committee: This committee surfs the Internet seeking new members for CLS, and leaving invites in guestbooks. If you surf an hour a month, there is a potential for you to recruit one new member a month.
Awards Committee: This committee is responsible for the Crazy Lady of the Month Award. Committee members select one member a month to receive this award and do a write up on why the member was selected.
